Intended for: Those whose job responsibilities require them to work at elevation in non-exposed and protected areas. This is an interactive session and presentation with hands on application, equipment demonstration and a written test to facilitate the course objectives.

CONTENT
Knowledge: Understanding and practical use of the following –
- Applicable fall arrest & protection equipment
- Hazard & Risk Assessment
- Full Body Harness-Applications & donning session
- Twin Lanyards / Energy absorbers /100% tie off
- Climbing in protected areas, fall Factors & progression climbing
- Fixed Fall Arrest Systems
- Understanding Tower Rescue and Suspension trauma
Medical Requirements:
Physical fitness with no contra-indications for work at height, self-certified statement of reasonable fitness
Assessment method:
Practical abilities of safe methods of climbing including a written test
Incudes: Certificate of attendance, Safety Passport ID Card & On-Line authenticity / verification

Intended for: Industrial climbers who need to access all types of masts, towers & lattice structures – Roof top Safety procedures are included. Basic telecommunications antenna rigging & Tower Rescue.

Knowledge: Mast and tower climbers using fall arrest and work positioning techniques must be able to use the equipment in a safe manner and must be aware of the limitations of this equipment. Basic antenna rigging & ropemanship skills
- Legislation & International guidelines
- Hazard & Risk assessment
- Correct fitting and adjustment of a range of full body harnesses
- Work positioning and twin lanyards / Access techniques
- Vertical access ladders with fitted vertical safety systems
- The complete range of fall protection systems
- Factors considered when using fall arrest techniques (fall factors)
- Climbing and moving around the structure – Progression climbing
- Use of permanent and temporary fall arrest systems
- Equipment selection and inspection
- Mechanical advantage systems / antenna lifting techniques

Medical Requirements:

Continuous practical assessment by Towertech staff, a timed rescue and a written test
Physical safe climbing exercises utilizing the relevant equipment’s on various industrial climb scenarios
